Jodi Renner
Jodi is a paralegal in Wagenmaker & Oberly’s Federal Tax and International practice group, where she assists attorneys and nonprofit organizations with a wide range of matters involving tax-exempt organizations. She supports clients with IRS exemption applications, federal tax filings, charitable registrations, ongoing compliance matters, and other tax-exempt organization needs. Jodi also assists with international matters, including equivalency determinations for foreign charitable organizations and related analysis of organizational documents, activities, and applicable U.S. tax requirements. She enjoys providing practical, detail-oriented support to attorneys and nonprofit clients navigating complex tax-exempt organization matters.
Jodi brings more than 20 years of paralegal experience to the firm. Before joining Wagenmaker & Oberly, she built her career supporting attorneys in complex civil litigation, including serving as a National Trial Paralegal. She managed large, multifaceted case dockets, coordinated litigation teams, prepared matters for trial, and developed systems to organize complex legal projects and keep cases moving efficiently. Jodi has enjoyed bringing that experience into the nonprofit sector and values the opportunity to support organizations whose work is focused on serving their communities and advancing their missions. Her experience managing high-volume, detail-intensive matters enables her to provide organized and thoughtful support to attorneys and clients.
Outside of work, Jodi is active in her local church and enjoys gardening and caring for the animals on the family farm alongside her husband.
