Chas Taylor
Chas Taylor is an associate attorney who serves nonprofit clients through our Corporate and Real Estate practice groups, including contracts, leases, nonprofit structuring, facility usage, property tax exemption, and legal compliance issues.
Prior to joining Wagenmaker & Oberly, Chas worked as an associate at Perkins Coie, assisting companies with mergers and acquisitions, commercial contracts, and other corporate projects. While at Perkins Coie, he also maintained an active pro bono practice representing federal prisoners in filing compassionate release motions.
While attending The University of Chicago Law School, Chas was involved in the Federal Criminal Justice Clinic, Blackstone Legal Fellowship, The Federalist Society, and Christian Legal Society. Before law school, Chas studied English and Philosophy at Rice University where he deeply engaged as a student leader and was recognized with the Best Student Taught Course and the Judge Woodrow Seals Community Service Award.
Chas is also the co-founder and President of a religious nonprofit that empowers leaders to build sustainable, discipleship-centered ministries in Cuba. His altruistic background, nonprofit leadership and exceptional legal ability position him to advocate for nonprofit clients in a service-focused, meaningful way. Outside of work, Chas enjoys playing basketball (and most sports), reading, and spending quality time with family and friends in the Dallas, Texas area, where he lives with his wife and son.
